Plans for this Diwali

Over the years we have been quite tired of the extra pollution in
Delhi around Diwali. So this year we plan to escape to Diu to spend
the Diwali week. Its still a long way off (OCt 20th ..) , but have
made bookings on SpiceJet for Delhi -Ahemadabad and back - of course
the 3k return ticket makes it possible to go so far in a 5 day holiday.
Any tips / experiences are most welcome :).

We too plan our vacations way in advance but vaguely, like this December it has to be a sea place and next summer Ladakh again maybe. Have you been to Ladakh? This June we are trekking through Kuari Pass.

I agree, planning ahead adds a lot of charm to the actaul holiday. My son is already reading up on Diu:0. The downside is that if it doesn't materialize for some reason, its a big disappointment.
I haven't been to ladakh. But i once went from Manali to Shimla via the lahaul, spiti, kinnaur route. Thats also worth doing.
